Born in Iran and raised in Tehran, Elli Shahideh credits her parents, educators, with fostering her creative drive and artistic journey. When she was only nine her father provided formal professional art training through rigorous private tutoring by Madame Trian, Elli’s mentor and one of the most famous artists/professors of the 1960s.
Elli was awarded her BA degree from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh and her Master of Arts in Museum Studies from San Francisco State University. She obtained her national teaching credential with an emphasis in teaching art, plus her Master of Education Technology degree from the University of San Francisco.
She has exhibited at Muse Italo Americana, University of San Francisco, City Hall of San Mateo, Public Library of San Francisco as well as San mateo, Borders bookstore in San Francisco, the Post Impression Gallery and the annual Art Span Open Studios at Hunter Point Shipyard, San Francisco.
